Like our Adult Choir, our Praise Band and Orchestra is the center of all the instrumental music ministries of the Worship and Arts Ministry. The Praise Band and Orchestra serves our church by leading in worship each and every week in both the 9:00 and 10:30am services, as well as in many specials events and worship times throughout the year. Both of these groups rehearse Wednesday nights from 8:00 to 9:00pm on the Worship Center stage.
Our Praise Band generally consists of Piano, Keyboards, Bass , Drums, Acoustic Guitars, Electric Guitars, and Percussion. This group is a wonderful group of volunteer musicians who are both highly skilled and highly committed to leading our church in worship each Sunday in both morning and evening services. We generally have several musicians at each position who rotate in serving in this group, and we are always open to and looking for additional musicians from within our church who are interested in serving in this group! Our Orchestra is a group made up of woodwind, brass, string and percussion instruments and works in close harmony with our Praise Band and Adult Choir. This group is also a wonderful group of volunteer musicians who love serving and playing together, and are skilled and gifted in a unique and powerful way to add to our church’s worship during each Sunday morning service. The Orchestra is open to anyone who plays an instrument and would like to use that love and gifting to serve the Lord. Because of the musical demands, we find that it’s most appropriate for people who have at least a couple of years of playing experience on their instrument, so for students usually late-7th-graders or 8th graders and up are ready to serve in this group. To find out more about this group, feel free to come join us for a rehearsal on a Wednesday night at 8pm in the Worship Center, and then we can work out steps on an individual basis for how to get involved playing in services.
