Small Groups

Throughout scripture God teaches us the value of having relationships with other people that love and worship Him.  Our adult small groups offer the opportunity for you to cultivate those kinds of relationships by accomplishing three main objectives:

  • Edify – Heb10:24-25 teaches believers to continue meeting together in order to spur one another on to love and good deeds.  Christ serves as that example by paying the price for our sin debt on the cross.  In our small groups we challenge one another with the sacrifice of Christ on the cross and what that means for our day-to-day lives as revealed in scripture.
  • Minister – Galatians 6:10 exhorts us to do good to all people, “especially to those who are of the household of the faith.”  This means that we meet each others needs as they arise.  Difficulties in life are sure to come and the blessing of being part of the body of Christ shines clearly when we serve others or are being served in seasons of difficulty.
  • Multiply – In II Timothy 2:2 Paul tells Timothy to teach others the gospel and to challenge them to share that with others.  This is the familiar concept of multiplication.  We believe we are called to do the same on every level – whether you’re a pastor, deacon, teacher, or church member.
We at FBC Mustang believe that it is exceedingly important to develop healthy relationships with other Christians and that is accomplished through our network of small groups.
