God has richly blessed our Children's Ministry this summer. I want to thank Him for the lives that have been forever changed, for the new families that have joined our church and for the spiritual growth so evident in so many of our children.
Our summer started with an incredible week of Vacation Bible School where we saw the highest number of children attend VBS daily. We had 15 children who prayed and invited Christ to be their Lord & Savior. Our church family glorified God and honored Him through many hours of great teaching, leadership. prayer, and helping to be a part of the many important teams such as registration, snacks, crafts, missions, recreation, bus drivers, VBS nurse, secretaries, and family night.
Thank you Father for blessing our church in huge ways this summer through Vacation Bible School.
Our 1st and 2nd graders had a super time at Day Camp in June. Our theme was "Awesome Character Builds Awesome Kids". We had a lot of fun discussing character traits and Bible characters who demonstrated these character qualities. Again our church family joined in serving the 1st & 2nd graders of our church as they spent time preparing to teach God's Word, time preparing our food, and opening up their swimming pool to us-thank you Mrs. Debby Anderson! A great big thank you to Ryan Brotherton, our Children's Ministry Summer Intern for developing the theme, writing our curriculim, recruiting our team, and planning all of our activities.
Thank you Father for all of the important things we learned about character. Help us to be obedient, kind, forgiving and respectful.
Our kids have had a great time on all of our Totally Terrific Thursday activities. We have had a great turn out. It has been fun filling up two buses for most of our field trips. A great big thank you to all of our incredible bus drivers who have given of their time this Summer to drive us to our activities.
Kids Kamp was an another incredible week of fun this summer for all of our kids who completed 3rd-5th grade. Our theme was Self-Control. Our theme verse was from Proverbs 25:28, "A man who can't control himself is like a city whose walls are broken down." God did a huge work in the lives of adults and children as we were reminded of the importance of pausing and understanding our words, actions and deeds before we respond in different situations. God continued to work in the hearts of our children as 8 children prayed and invited Christ to be their Savior and Lord. We had 6 other children who recommitted themselves to following Christ daily. It was an awesome week!
Thank you Father for the children who heard your call and responded to your voice. Thank you Father for your awesome Word and the many things we learned about the importance of self-control. Father remind us of the many things you taught us and help us to put a plan of action to accomplish the things you taught us.
God is always at work around us! Let us be faithful to be watching and obedient to follow His leadership.
